14 white folks

Newsday has a handy interactive slideshow revealing 17 possible candidates for nomination in the wake of Miers' peace-out.

There are seven white fellas and seven white gals. At the back of the supreme court bus (too soon?) are two hispanics (including Gonzales who will not fly because of his liberal take on Roe v. Wade and the likely resurgence of the executive privilege thing) and one black man (Larry D. Thompson, who's a good pal of ol' PubeMaster-T himself, Clarence Thomas).

So does it matter if the next justice is another white person, much less a white dude?
